Heather Reiff

As Science Policy Coordinator, based at Oregon State University, I lead COMPASS’ regional work to connect ocean science to timely policy discussions and decisions.  I do this by developing mechanisms and supporting scientists so that they can share their knowledge and research with decision-makers. I have a background in marine science, policy, and education, and have extensive international work and diving experience in places like Belize, Egypt and the Solomon Islands.  I have a B.A. in Biology with a specialization in marine science from Boston Univeristy and a M.S. in Marine Resource Management from Oregon State University.
