COMPASS returned to Colorado State University this May for another communications training organized by Aldo Leopold fellow Diana Wall.
Diana is the director of the School of Global Environmental Sustainability and leads the CSU Global Sustainability Leadership Fellowship for PhD students and early career post-docs. For this training, Assistant Director of Science Outreach Liz Neeley led a two-day training focused on science communication, science journalism, and social media. Liz kicked off the event with a public lecture on Social Media for Science Communication. The two day training for the fellows featured

- Jeff Burnside, longtime NBC Miami TV reporter and Vice President of the Society of Environmental Journalists
- Freelance Susan Moran who co-hosts KGNU's "How On Earth"
- Mark Fischetti, editor at Scientific American
