Overview
This workshop, held February 22-23, 2007 in Portland, OR, brought together contributing authors for a forthcoming book from Island Press (target publication date: summer 2008). This edited volume will synthesize the conceptual and practical information needed to implement marine ecosystem-based management (EBM) for a broad audience of scientists, students, managers and other practitioners. Participants discussed the knowledge needed to implement EBM for the oceans, with a focus on the theme of resilience.
