About Us

The Communication Partnership for Science and the Sea (COMPASS) is a collaborative effort of SeaWeb, the Monterey Bay Aquarium's Center for the Future of the Oceans, and a group of academic scientists dedicated to advancing and communicating marine conservation science.

COMPASS catalyzes science-based solutions for ocean health by connecting this work to other scientists, journalists, policy makers, and the public. Grounded in science, we operate at the nexus of science, policy, and communications, working to condition the policy-making climate for marine conservation and connecting science to marine policies and management practices.
